Week 9's Maths Problem



This week your challenge is to:

1. Write a word problem as a comment to this post. Think carefully about what strategy you want people to use when they answer it.

2. Answer someone else's problem as a reply to their post. Write next to your answer which number strategy you used.

Chinese Calligraphy




Yesterday Room 35 did Calligraphy with Miss Ko. At the moment we are learning about the names for different body parts. It was lots of fun doing this art activity in Mandarin.

Article Comprehension:
  1. Why according to the author is the list of endangered animals growing?
  2. Name some of the animals and birds that will benefit from South Korea's nature preserve?
  3. Find the dictionary definition of one of the key words from the article and list the key word and its definition here, e.g. Sustainable - able to be maintained or kept going, as an action or process: a sustainable negotiation between the two countries.

The Ocean, our beautiful treasure.

During Sea Week we created some art work of the creatures that live in the ocean. We wanted to celebrate the beauty of the sea. It also made us think about how we are responsible for looking after this treasure and what we could do to show that we value the oceans and its creatures.

Swimming

Last week we started swimming lessons with Hilton Brown. It has been so much fun especially with the warm sunny weather we have had recently. Each lesson the instructors teach us new skills to help us improve our swimming.
