Writing Challenge Term 3, Week 9
This week we are learning how to write Persuasive texts. Below is a poster to remind you of the structure you should follow when writing to persuade someone of your opinion. Then there is also an example of someone trying to convince you why you should eat breakfast. If you get stuck you can have a look at their example to see what kind of language features they use and how they structure their writing.

I deserve a day off school because …
ReplyDeleteSchool is somewhere you learn things like math, reading, etc. Some children get a day off school for different reasons. I believe I should get a day off school if my mum or dad is sick so I can’t look after them.
When I am sick my mum or dad will stay home from work to look after me. If I am sick and they look after me I should be nice to them back. When I am sick my mum or dad will stay home from work to look after me. If I am sick and they look after me I should be nice to them back.
I think it’s only fair if I stay home to look after my mum or dad but then I hope they don’t get sick.
