ReplyDelete2.the government has even come up with a plan is commendable given that officials in other vulnerable cities like Bangkok, Dhaka and Mumbai who have not had this trouble yet. Their plan is to build a sea wall that will protect the city.
3.One of the difficulties is that it is expected to be about $40 billion US dollars over 20 years. The author does like him because he would like to stop this terrible flooding problem.

1.Jakarta is vulnerable to sinking because the actual land is sinking and the sea level rising. It is also siking because soft clay delta soil is compacting in certain areas of the city.
ReplyDelete2.The government was encoraged to take action because they thought it could really help. The first priority of the plan is to strengthen the northern part of the city wall. A massive reservoir is another part of the plan.
3. One of the problems is that it will cost a lot. One more problem is how much dirt they can collect.
