  1. 21 is not abundant because 1+3+7=11 and 11 is less than 21. 50's factors are 1, 50, 2, 25, 5, 10. 1+2+25+5+10=48 so 50 also isn't abundant. 12 is abundant because 1+2+3+4+6=16 and 16 is bigger than 12.

  2. Abundant numbers

    36
    6 and 6
    4 and 9
    1 and 36
    2 and 18
    3 and 12
So 36 is not an abundant number because if you add them all up it equals 31

    the number is 80
because the only mutiples of 5 is 120 and 80 and the only 2 digits number is clearly 80 because 120 has 3 digits.

    The factors of 64:
    1 and 64
    2 and 32
    3 and 16
    4 and 8
    6 and 4 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 6 + 32 + 16 + 8 + 4 = 66! Just!

    1. Great thinking George. I see you added 6 twice but you only need to include it once in the list of factors. Do you need to recheck your answer to see if 36 is an abundant number. Mr Janse

I think the answer is 22 because it is times 1=2,they are both even, there 2 digits and the ones digit is not in the 3 times table.

I think the answer is 64 because
    64 has 2 digits,
both 6 and 4 are even,
    6 is greater than 4,
4 is not in the three times tables,
    6 is not double 4,
    6 + 4 = 10 which is in the 5 times tables

    Am I right Mr Janse?
